In his own words:
"Over the past 20 years, I have been
a mechanical designer, home designer/builder,
musician, and experimental artist. During
the past five years, I have been filling
my home and those of friends and family,
with my
unique 3-D "Wallscapes". This
past summer I built up a collection of pieces
to display at several art fairs in the San
Diego area. My work now spans from full
wall space and geometric themed "Wallscapes",
to small individual sea life pieces.
These primarily wood and metal
sculptures are mostly abstract
representations of my interests intopography,
sea life, space, technology, shapes and
patterns. My designs come from dreams, life,
memories and often, experimentation with
shapes. From these ideas I create the basic
form of the piece, often using and modifying
parts and hardware to add a more abstract
edge. Final colors and textures are added
and enhanced to obtain the desired depth
and character. No two pieces are ever exactly
the same. My goal is to share my perspective
of our world, the events that shape what
we are, inspire thought, and add a little
more beauty into our daily lives."
